Whining can be a tricky predicament due to the annoyance it causes. So many factors could set-off this conduct. Dogs whine when they are scared or anxious. Whining is usually the result of your puppy being afraid or in pain. Attention-seeking behavior may also be a cause.

Failure to deal with whining straight away could mean your dog begins destroying home furniture when you leave for work. Begin crate training immediately so that your dog will surely have a safe haven to run to when you leave. Ignore your pet when you’re leaving so that there’s no drama surrounding your coming and leaving.

When your dog does not respond to this training, consider bringing him to the vet as your dog may be in pain.
Let your puppy get accustomed to seeing you go out. Start schedule training when possible so as to incorporate your coming and going into the training. If the training does not work initially, keep at it. Your German Shepherd will learn soon enough what you want to happen. Just maintain leadership over your puppy so that you call the shots. A well-taught German Shepherd is not clingy, and will be dependable companions.
